Modalities

A therapy modality is simply the approach or style of counseling your therapist uses. Different modalities offer different tools — some focus on building skills, some on exploring past experiences, and others on changing patterns of thinking or behavior. Your therapist may use one approach or combine several to best fit your needs and goals.
