Meet Our Therapist
Seeking therapy is a courageous step — and you don’t have to take it alone. Our role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, compassion, and evidence-based support as you navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re healing from past trauma, managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, exploring identity, or moving through a difficult transition, BeaconBridge Counseling, PLLC will provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your experiences. We believe therapy should be collaborative — a partnership where we work together toward your goals.
Kathryn Mitchell, LCSW Owner/Therapist
Virtual/ In person
Licensed in TX and FL
I specialize in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, trauma and PTSD, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, depression, anxiety, and identity exploration. My approach is DBT-informed and also integrates CPT and CBT, allowing us to balance skill-building with deeper healing. Together, we’ll work to reduce suffering, build resilience, and help you move forward with clarity, empowerment, and a greater sense of peace. I strive to create a cozy, welcoming space where you feel both supported and empowered. While talking is often central to therapy, I also offer interactive options like worksheets, activities, and skills practice for clients who find a more hands-on approach helpful.

I believe connection—to self and others—is the most powerful tool for change. You are the expert in your own life, and therapy is a space to feel empowered, heard, and in control. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Our survival strategies often come from past experiences, but they may no longer serve us. Together, we’ll explore new ways of thinking and behaving so you can shape a life that feels more aligned, intentional, and fulfilling. I help adults explore their past and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful way. Together, we’ll work to heal old wounds and replace survival-based patterns with ones that truly serve you—so you can live with more clarity, intention, and self-trust.
